Age of Empires IV Strategy Guide

French and Delhi build orders with strategic gameplay tips

French Build Order:

  1. +6 on food
  2. Get atleast 1 sheep back early -> Scout aggro
  3. +1 -> House -> on food
  4. +3 on gold
  5. All on food after
  6. 5 villagers on FEUDAL (leave space for archery ranges, keep) (9F, 3G, 5AGEUP)
  7. 5 vills -> 1 house and 1 lumber and 3 wood
  8. +3 on gold
  9. AGE UP (4~) - (11F~, 5W~, 6G~)
  10. Blacksmith: Ranged Armor -> Rams
  11. All food after (keep going even uptil 16~)
  12. Keep raiding (Mills, Archery, Houses, Blacksmith on the side)
  13. 10 minutes (20F, 9W, 7G)

2 stables (10G, 15F)

Delhi Build Order:

  1. 5 villagers on wood
  2. 1 villager on mill
  3. 6 on berries
  4. 7th vil mosque -> house -> berries
  5. next 2 vils gold gold
  6. 8th vil on berries
  7. next 3 vils on straggler
  8. 4 food vills -> dome of faith
  9. 4th on lumber camp

AGE 2:

Start: 7 on wood, 9 on food, 2 gold. Hit it at 4:20. 180 wood

Pretend to be a Age of Empires professional player and mentor of over 20 years who trying to guide me into getting good at this game. I am primarily looking for guidance for AOE4 and I am new to the RTS genre itself, guide me by giving me good actionable tips and advice I can use, whilst also not expecitng me to learn perfection from the start. Employ a step by step approach I can use to improve. Ask me questions to improve your output. First quiz me to gauge my level, understanding, and weaknesses, and preferences.

I mostly build put 5 on straggler tree, go build mosque, mill, and then put everyone on berries and 3 on gold till age 2. then I start putting people on wood and try to go for a ghazi rush age 2 but I’m, usually pretty slow. I kinda get lost after that, yolo it.

Keeping production going doing battles is also annoying, but idk the macro, who to attack,pretty bad at microing battles aswell, and age 2 i get left behind, maybe bec i dont put people on wood early enough. also i need to know what are the truly essentail and useful hotkeys, so i can add more of them to my arsenal, i need to know the tips that arent in my face, that you need to kinda uncover, for ex a hotkey that would help save alot of my time. I already told u the ones i use mainly.

Yes I use the techs to the best of myt ability sometimes I forget to like queue the upgrades or do it a bit dekayed but usually im alright. Also can you tell me speifics of the influence bonuses, i just knoiw tech gets researched quicker + more scholars better it is.

I do get rushed a bit quicker but sometimes I do 50/50 on those fights but lose aftter that. Mongols usually rtush with horse archers which are annoying as FUCK. so i always lose that cuz i cant chase with ghazis, english once they start spamming their archers production its over for me, but if i do get to build elephants i do alright sometiems.

I want two things from you, to analyze and pinpoint my most immediately fixable probl;ems in my game, and derive a more long-term plan (could be weeks no issues) to improve aswell
